Sound designer toulousain, Iker Elguezabal cultive sa singularité avec flegme et dextérité. Attiré très tôt par la musique électronique, Iker exerce en autodidacte pendant une vingtaine d’années. Il investit le milieu du DJing en pratiquant le turntablism, enchainant performances, festivals et compilations musicales.
En 2016, il franchit le pas et devient professionnel. Le déclic? Une formation en design sonore à l’ISPRA et sa rencontre avec deux formateurs inspirants et pointus, Xavier Collet et Ken Scott.
Ingénieur du son, auteur-compositeur, Iker Elguezabal revendique l’éclectisme de son parcours musical entre projets musicaux acoustiques et compositions purement électro. Ses connaissances en électroacoustique, synthèse analogique, granulaire, en musique concrète ainsi que sa maîtrise du captage audio et du mixage final lui confèrent une approche globale du design sonore.
Sound designer from Toulouse, Iker Elguezabal affirms his own singularity carefully and skillfully. Early in his life, Iker was attracted by the sounds of electronic music, he then practised as a self-taught artist for more than two decades. His first exploration of Djing was as a turntablist, he then moved on by appearing in various performances, festivals and several music compilations.
In 2016, he took a step towards fulfilling his ambition of becoming a full-time professional artist. The breaking point? A sound-design training course at ISPRA institute and the meeting with two inspiring and highly experienced trainers: Xavier Collet and Ken Scott.
A sound engineer, a songwriter and a composer, Iker Elguezabal claims the eclectism of his musical career through acoustic musical projects and strictly electronic musical compositions. His knowledge of electroacoustics, analog and granular synthesis, of concrete music as well as his skills in capturing sounds and his experience in final mix grant him a comprehensive approach to sound design.
